We have developed special bolts that are far superior to the OEM hardware. These are forged from aerospace allow and heat tread prior to thread rolling and machining. These have a 12 pont head design and larger then stock shank diameter for increased strenght and improved flywheel register.

The rockwell of the stock bolt is around 30, your new bolt should be in the 41 range +- 2. It would appear that the factory bolt is close to grade 8.

Tensile results for your stock flywheel bolt are:

Tensile strength 159,693 psi. 75% of load before yield gives you 9187 lbs of clamp load.

The new TMS flywheel bolt test results are:

Tensile strength 191,994 psi. 75% of load before yield gives you 11997 lbs of clamp load. Torque with ARP Moly at 65 lbs or (84# using 30 wt oil)
