The FTI torque converter for factory OEM 1993-1998 Supra Turbo's can free up as much as 100hp over other brand torque converters! The dyno sheet shows a comparison of a Precision 3800 rpm converter vs. a FTI 3500 converter installed on the same car, running the same turbo set-up. Now, if you have a BPU car that puts down 340rwhp and you install the FTI converter you are not going to put down 440rwhp, but there are power gains to be had here.

For a BPU twin turbo, the 3,300 rpm converter is great. Those on mid size single turbo's who want to launch harder the 3,500 rpm converter is a good choice. If you run stick slicks and have a bigger single, then the 3,800 rpm converter is the way to go.
