OS Giken has been around since the 70's and has been a familiar force in the 2JZGTE equipped Supra community for years. Designed and manufactured in Japan.

With this clutch kit for the JZA80 Supra Turbo, you will find friction material in a multi-plate design that delivers the ability to put down 1000+ HP in a very street-able application. We supply the steel outer plate version, coupled with the OS flywheel and three-disc friction material (not carbon, but metallic based designed specifically for this clutch). Clutch pedal pressure is similar to stock, and because it has a free-floating pressure plate design (otherwise known as strapless), it creates some noise when disengaged. What is the noise? Simply the center plates are vibrating against the clutch cover support posts. It is normal and actually some begin to like it (in a cult-like "I own an OS clutch" way).

The triple plate design is an upgrade over the older twin discs and has outstanding testimonials from many in the Supra community, including (and especially) those making 1000+ RWHP!

All OS clutch kits are sold as a clutch / flywheel package. As the designers' and engineers' goal is to develop the best performing and most durable applications available, it is best to circumvent as many limitations as possible that the OEM clutch / flywheels have, by “starting from scratch”. OS clutches and flywheels are properly matched to each other and manufactured with the most suitable materials / designs, in order to maximize durability, drivability, and performance. In addition, by designing the clutch/flywheel package from the ground up, many more options become available for disk size, flywheel weight, etc.

Why do I have to purchase a OS Giken "movement alteration kit?" The Supra clutch in its factory configuration is a pull-type, the OS uses a push-type mechanism to release the clutch assembly. OS (and indeed, physics itself) feel this is a far more robust mechanism.

What exactly comes with the standard triple clutch kit? You will receive a 100% complete OS Giken Triple Plate Clutch kit designed specifically for the JZA80 Turbo Supra. Includes the integrated clutch disc sets, flywheel and pressure plate design as well as a bearing. In order to install this kit, OS requires the purchase of the OS movement alteration kit and flywheel bolts, which we have listed as options in the drop down menu.
