While it is not mandatory to replace the large and small snap rings on the pressure plate when doing a clutch job on your Supra, it isn't a bad idea. The snap rings are generally good for two clutch jobs, but with today's mechanics it is possible that they could have damaged your snap ring on the previous clutch install.
