The 2JZGTE and 1JZGTE VVT-i Supra's and others with this motor use a batch fire coil on plug ignition system. Over time, the spark energy degrades as the coils degrade. Unlike the standard 1JZ or 2JZGTE, the VVT-i version uses what is called a batch-fire process, whereby each coil packs triggers 2 spark plugs, so there are only three (3) coil packs on this motor.

These are genuine factory Toyota new parts, not rebuilt, not a secondary vendor and are direct replacement, plug-n-play.
