NOTE for all RPS single disc clutches: On the Supra Getrag 6-speed equipped cars, Toyota for safety purposes has fitted the car with a clutch engagement switch. We recommend disconnecting this switch, which will allow the car to be started without the clutch pedal depressed (engaging switch). Why is this recommended? The added force exerted on the crankshaft especially during cold start where minimal oil pressure is greatest, can contribute to thrust bearing failure.
Locating the clutch engagement switch is simple. If you follow your clutch pedal up under the dash you will see where there is a simple switch that is only activated when the clutch pedal is completely depressed. If you disconnect this switch, the circuit is defeated and you can now start the car in neutral without the clutch pedal being depressed. Please note that you do this at the risk of now being able to start the car in any gear as the switch is by-passed.
RPS clutches. Do not forget to purchase our Toyota OEM Clutch Install kit when fitting a new clutch.
***please note if you are using a Findanza flywheel you will need to run a non sprung disc, or replace the flywheel with the rps flywheel to ensure proper fitment****
