This transmission has almost never seen a power limit it could not handle. 600hp, 700hp, 800hp, 900hp, 1000hp, 1100hp, 1200hp... Getrag cars are driving the streets of America on a daily basis. These are 100% bone stock Getrag 6 speed transmissions used in the 1993-1998 Toyota Supra in the USA. We have NEVER had a transmission failure because of power, period. 99% of the transmission failures we have seen are because of missed shifts. This very well could be the most incredible transmission ever built.
The Getrag 6 speed V160/V161 gearbox is incredibly durable and we have only seen failures related to miss-shifts on very high HP cars.
